Our Philosophy

 

 First Lutheran Child Developement Center is a Christian education arm of First Lutheran Church. The school exists to provide a quality, caring, professional, and educational program to all children associated with the school. Each child is seen as a unique creation who is to be nurtured with guidance and love. Curriculum, policies, procedures, and practices are to testify to Christ's presence in the school and will be age appropriate. The students of the Child Development Center are an integral part of the parish's educational program for not only the congregation's own children, but also as a service and ministry to families seeking a quality Christian education for their young children.

 

 

 

About Us

 We are a provider of high-quality care and early learning education. The curriculum includes Bible stories, prayers, Christian songs and a variety of experiences, which lead to, and reinforce the belief of Jesus as Lord, Savior, and Friend.

We satisfy the education-based needs of children 2 thru 5 years of age through a variety of active learning experiences. Our staff are early childhood educators who select and develop curriculum and activities that provide the necessary foundation to learn the social and pre-academic skills essential for success in school.

Our children are presented with hand-on experiences that offer them the joy and challenge of doing it themselves. The development of the "whole child" is our main objective.
